This West African nation has transformed itself into a filmmaking powerhouse over the past three decades. The industry produces about 2,500 films per year, which means Nigerian filmmakers release more movies in a single month than many countries produce in an entire year. While Hollywood might have bigger budgets and fancier special effects, Nigeria wins when it comes to sheer number of films created.
