Smith of the Bradley Smith Company revolutionized the candy world by creating a hard candy mounted on a stick.  Inspired by the success of Reynolds Taffy—a chocolate caramel on a stick—Smith adapted the concept to hard candy, making it more portable and convenient for consumers.
