The Rise Of A Global Challenge: In the summer of 2014, a simple social media trend turned into a worldwide fundraising movement. The Ice Bucket Challenge encouraged people to pour a bucket of ice water over their heads, share the video online, and donate to support amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS. Participants also challenged others to do the same, helping the campaign spread quickly. The movement gained support from everyday families, celebrities, athletes, and business leaders. As videos spread across platforms, donations increased at an unexpected pace. What began as a grassroots effort became one of the most successful online fundraising campaigns in history.

A Record Setting Collaboration: In January 2023, YouTuber Airrack teamed up with Pizza Hut to create the largest pizza ever recorded. The event took place in Los Angeles. Their goal was to break the existing world record while also supporting local communities. The finished pizza measured 13,990 square feet. To understand how large that is, imagine a space bigger than a basketball court. Creating something of that size required careful planning, teamwork, and precise measurements. Every detail had to meet official record standards.

Walker, born Sarah Breedlove in 1867, rose from humble beginnings on a Louisiana plantation to become one of America’s first self-made female millionaires.  The daughter of former slaves, she faced adversity early in life, losing her parents by age seven and becoming a widow at 20.  Despite these challenges, Walker’s resilience and vision led her to create a business empire focused on hair care products for African-American women.
