Renowned Singer Roberta Flack Passes Away at 88

Born on February 10, 1937, in Black Mountain, North Carolina, Flack was a classically trained pianist who transitioned into a successful career in R&B and soul music.She made history by becoming the first solo artist to win the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in two consecutive years: in 1973 for "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and in 1974 for "Killing Me Softly with His Song."
